Leave the World Behind film and predictive programming

Many people have predicted that the film Leave the World Behind is preparing the masses for a cyber attack that will hurt the world more than the Deception-19 did.

The film directors knew that it would leave the audience joining the dots to see what the film means in their daily lives, including the suggestion that the Film is preparing Americans for a cyber attack to interrupt the 2024 elections.

People predicted there would be biological warfare after the release of the Contagion film in 2011.

The apocalyptic film itself attacks assumptions that some people are behind the blackout that hurts the world of the film as depicted in the dialogue below:

Amanda: Are you saying that... Are you thinking that your friend is somehow behind what's happening here?

GH: No, nothing like that.

A conspiracy theory about a shadowy group of people running the world is far too lazy of an explanation. Especially when the truth is much scarier.

Amanda: What is the truth?

GH: No one is in control. No one is pulling the strings. Sure, there are those like my friend who might have the right kind of access to the right kind of information. But when events like this happen in the world, the best, even the most powerful people can hope for is a heads up.

Netflix released Leave World Behind in November 2023, based on the 2020 novel by Rumaan Alam.

Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michel were the executive producers.

The plot

The Film starts with Amanda, Clay, and their two children Rose and Archie on a weekend vacation.

The owner of their rented home returns with his daughter to the home they had rented out, claiming a power blackout in the city forced them to return to their property.

It quickly becomes clear that technological infrastructure, from phones to TVs, stopped and theories emerge that it could be Russia, Iraq, and North Korea playing the catastrophe upon the USA.

Transport systems are disrupted, animal migrations threaten society and floods rock the country.
