FAITH Reporters

Our family is living in Tanzania, East Africa, from China. No need to share with you the reason for our being in Tanzania but I'll share with you my experience trekking Mountain Kilimanjaro. Journey to the highest point in Africa, Mountain Kilimanjaro in Tanzania / Faith Reporters It's November morning 2022 at Moshi in East Africa’s largest country, Tanzania. I’ll surely share with you our story but let me first share with you our first visit to Mountain Kilimanjaro. A Toyota Landcruiser has come to pick me and my Love for a trek to Africa’s highest point, Uhuru peak at Mountain Kilimanjaro. 30 minutes through the jungle, we arrive at Kilimanjaro National Park gate and do some paperwork as our ten porters have their luggage measured to 20 kilograms limit. We have our lunch at a village called Machame from where we start trekking into the rainforest in the afternoon. Before we started the journey, you may find it weird, we agreed to sleep in separate tents during the ...

Our Advocate's message in the judgement hour

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,” Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Revelation 14:6-7) Both the everlasting gospel and the gospel of the kingdom promised in Matthew 24:14 are proclaimed to all peoples at the close of world history. It is a blessing that all of us have an opportunity to hear this message at such a time. We could be among the last individuals Jesus brings into His kingdom before His ministry to save mankind concludes. Fear God and give glory to Him: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. God wants us to have a sense of fear to disobey Him. A sense of reverence for God and His law is the first step towards discovering God's ways and His kingdom. Without this ...

Biometric IDs, digital currency and the aftermath

Citizenship is not defined by biometric data. The governments are committing crimes by requiring citizens to submit biometric information in order to receive identification documentation as citizens The Rwandan government mandated bio metric identification upon citizens, using the latest anthropometric tools in the 1920-30s. [Photo: https://gened.org/ten-steps/] By Kelly Rwamapera The Bible says that discretion preserves individuals (Proverbs 2:11). As the scroll of end time events continues to unroll (LDE 17.2), it is wise for individuals to examine everything with discretion in order to make informed decisions. The right identification of a citizen The Apostle Paul demonstrated his Roman citizenship while imprisoned in Macedonia (Acts 16:37). Citizenship is rooted in one’s origin, shared historical experiences, and the place of birth within the boundaries designated by God for habitation (Acts 17:26). Paul was granted Roman citizenship because he was born in Tarsus, in ...

The English monarchy, the rise and fall from God’s grace

The former Bible destroyer and hunter of Protestant believers, awarded the Defender of Faith award in 1521 by the pope became Paul from Saul Had it not been for the English monarch (but can even use stones), Protestant Reformation would hardly prevail the Roman Catholic wrath that proceeded from the evil paws of the popes at the Vatican who had rested on the conscience of men for centuries. King Henry VIII was the first English King to receive the light of Reformation. The former Bible destroyer and hunter of Protestant believers, awarded the Defender of Faith award in 1521 by the pope became Paul from Saul. While he hunted the English for seeking freedom to worship and follow their conscience, he longed to be free to marry another woman his heart loved. But the pope’s defender of faith could not attain permission from the rigid pope to allow him to marry someone he loved and so God used his longing for freedom to open the door for others to be free. King Henry started realising the Po...

A rainy-day gas reserve for Canada

Canada is sitting on the third-largest oil reserves in the world, yet when a crisis hits and supply is disrupted, we are at the mercy of the markets without our own reserve stock. Life in Canada is becoming unaffordable, and Canadians are desperate for relief. Canadians paid almost 55 per cent more for gasoline in June than they did the year before and, as everyone pays more for fuel, it’s driving up the costs of everything else we buy. Driving is less affordable, and reports show Canadians are cutting back on essentials, even eating less food because of the higher prices . Food banks are overwhelmed, and demand only seems to be growing. While the Liberals would like to blame it all on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, taxes, broader global supply chain challenges, and a lack of domestic production are all at play. Depending on where you live in the country, gas taxes could make up to 38 per cent of the price you pay at the pump . So as gas prices have soared, the government has...

An open letter to Pr. Ted Wilson, President at the SDA General Conference

Dear Elder, Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m Patrick Miller, a brother from Jamaica (I would use my Church address but I was cut off from the Church as I shall show you in the next paragraphs). Currently, I’m alone at my cold house which used to be warm when my lovely wife was still with me, a wanderer at the sheer edge of the church where I used to be a Deacon, Men’s Ministry Leader, Elder in Training and certified Sabbath School Teacher. The Church disowned me and right now I’m wondering: so, I don’t belong to my brothers? Am I really disfellowshipped to belong to others where I am a bird of different feathers? Dear Elder and Brother, I and Lavern Brown Miller married in 2012 at Moneague Seventh-day Adventist Church, North Jamaica Conference, Jamaica Union of the Inter-American Division with high hopes of starting a new life in a church where we became “new creatures”. Things started changing in 2016 when misunderstandings broke o...

Rwanda Judiciary’s handling of medical negligence cases, very welcome

I had the privilege to represent in a case in which Gasabo Intermediate Court awarded Rwf125 million to a family whose child was debilitated when the medics delayed helping the mother in labour to deliver. By Audace Ngabo Muhirwa King Faisal Hospital and the family I represented had a long legal battle before the court from Feb 2020 until last week when the court ruled in favour of the family. You can imagine how massive the evidence and arguments, especially based on the Law N° 49/2012 of 22/01/2013 establishing medical professional liability insurance, both of us submitted before the court. The court put our evidence and arguments on its balance scale of what the Law establishing medical professional liability insurance says and the report of experts on the child. The Rwanda Medical and Dental Council guided the experts in making the reports until the fourth one on which the court depended. The report had to ascertain and explain to the court what happened to t...

Lewis’ petition against ArriveCAN App which shares private info to int organisations

We are currently living in a situation where Canadians are not free to enter their own country without completing a form that currently has no legal basis to exist. By Leslyn Lewis Worse, Canadians are being fined and threatened at their own border for not submitting private medical information that the government has no right to demand. While the term medical tyranny is mocked by some, it is a fair description of a government that refuses to follow its own law or even the mobility rights enshrined in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The mandatory use of the ArriveCAN App, while always suspect, now seems completely unjustified in light of the fact that emergency orders have now been lifted. But our government insists in maintaining a quasi-emergency status in order to continue to justify this failed and potentially illegal experiment. The ArriveCan App is Canada’s travel monitoring response to the World Health Organization’s declaration of Covid-19 as a global pandemic. ArriveCa...

Graham “Hoody” Hood — The Courageous Pilot

This is a story of a former Pilot at an aviation giant in Australia who left his job when he was required to get the Covid vaccine. The story was published by The Daily Declaration newspaper in Australia yesterday. Graham and Michelle Hood Reluctant heroes are usually the best ones. He was perfect for this job, because he didn’t want it. Erstwhile Qantas pilot Graham Hood shared his life’s story of trauma, loss, salvation, healing and renewal. Last week my husband and I attended a rally at our local church. It was thrown together with haste, yet with great success. Attended by some 250-plus people on a rainy day, the drawcard was a man, his wife and a story of hope. Graham (Hoody) Hood rose to prominence during the COVID-19 crisis of lockdowns , coercive vaccination and eroded freedoms that we have all lived under these past couple of years. Graham Hood was a Qantas pilot , who, after being told that he would lose his job should he not agree to be vaccinated, had the streng...

Stories of ordeal from the unvaccinated in Rwanda

I have learnt of families that were locked inside their houses on conditions that they would go out only after they have accepted vaccination. Others are in custody for not accepting vaccination and many who, after being overcome by the inhuman treatment by authorities, have accepted to have the substance they feared into their bodies to buy their freedom from custody. I have learnt about many squatting in bushes and thickets while others have crossed crocodile-infested rivers into the jungles in the neighbouring countries. Some have been intercepted in any way by Rwandan authorities as they try to cross the borders, a country that has a long history of its people finding refuge in the neighbouring countries. The stories Last week, the government of Rwanda in Central Africa started implementing measures that restrict the unvaccinated from accessing essential services including public transport. As a Kigali City dweller, little did I know that the hunting of the unvaccinated ...
