On Tuesday 18th January 2022, at around 4:00 am when people were crowning their sleep, authorities stormed the residents of Kamagiri in Nyagatare District in North Eastern Rwanda looking for the unvaccinated who still lingered in their jurisdiction.

“They banged my door so hard while I was
slowly approaching to open it. They searched everywhere for my husband but he
had already escaped. They took me, leaving my five children behind,” Odette
Mukandutiye told Faith Reporters on Friday 21st January 2022.
The eight months expectant mother 40
years old, was arrested with about 30 residents who had refused the vaccination
including her neighbours Ruth Tuyisenge 28, Veneranda Mushimiyimana and the husband along with their three children, Odette says.
Odette explained to the authorities who included the village chairman, Village security officer, community policing personnel and a community health worker that she was pregnant but they were too busy to listen.
“We were gathered in an open place until
midday when they locked us inside the cell offices from where a coaster picked
us and took us to Nyagatare Sector offices [some few miles away]. We were not
allowed to buy anything to eat or drink or go to the toilets that whole
day" Odette said.
The group of about 40 people held in the
sector offices got some porridge [made of flour and water] and cooked maize grain the next day in the evening.
"My fellow 'prisoners' were able to
eat and drink the porridge except me. I had started bleeding from my womanhood.
I feared it was a stillbirth" Odette exclaimed.
The expecting mother spent the night
hungry and bleeding until the next day when the sector authorities allowed her along with her neighbour Ruth to go to
Nyagatare Health Centre, about a mile away.
"Health attendants refused to receive
me because I had no Covid vaccination card. Someone gave me Rwf1500 which I
used to escape back home" Odette said.
Ruth, who was taking care of Odette feared
to escape with her back home but went back to the sector to find the group she
had been arrested with.
"I wanted to escape with her home but
I feared that authorities would find me there and do any terrible things they
wanted to me. I decided to go back to the sector offices where we were held in
the mainhall"
Ruth and her other neighbours, Veneranda
and her husband remained at the sector offices the second day Wednesday but
Veneranda's three children who had been arrested with their parents were
allowed to go home.
The counsels that are commands
The two women told Faith Reporters that
local authorities and soldiers and police officers could come telling them that
they had to accept the vaccination before authorities applied force.
"They told us that there was no
reason to fear the Whiteman's vaccine since the Whiteman also
accepted to be vaccinated; that if we accept the vaccines, it is the
manufacturers and enforcers that would bear the curse," Ruth said.
Instead of accepting, the group always
sung hymns and prayed, which annoyed the authorities until dusk fell when
authorities started arranging for forced vaccination that Thursday night.
"A Dasso security officer came and
took two old men from us. I peeped through the window and saw a soldier wearing
gloves. I told my fellow 'prisoners' to be ready for the injections" Ruth
recollected.
The group that had tripled in number that Thursday
with new arrests from other areas prayed in the sector's main hall where they had been locked as authorities took one by one until
they were all vaccinated.
"When they came for me, I did not
fight. I knew I could not escape their talons. They made me sit on a chair, two
men held my arms and another held my legs. They did what they wanted and let me
go" Ruth recalled the ordeal.
According to Ruth, those who showed some
resistance were held by five men to be injected with the vaccine in the
exercise which was conducted on Thursday night.
"We believe God knows our cause for
refusing the vaccines and whatever they injected in us will not work to their
intention, in Jesus' name," said Veneranda who was forcibly vaccinated
with her husband.
The group was taken early Tuesday, the
bleeding expectant woman, Ruth, escaped Wednesday, the rest were vaccinated on
Thursday night 20th January 2022 at Nyagatare Sector offices.
Rwandan media has not covered forced
vaccination that has been raging so loudly in their neighbourhoods for the last
two months, for reasons that could be beyond the fact that the evil act is done
behind the "iron curtains".
On Wednesday 19th January, while Ruth was
bleeding on her pregnancy after bad treatment in an operation that had scores
of people forcibly vaccinated, Rwanda government spokesperson Yolande Makolo on Twitter insisted there was no forced vaccination.

against Covid and said, "No one in Rwanda is forced to get a COVID
vaccine"
