Faith Reporters Ministry requests your support to proclaim the Three Angels' Message in Uganda through media, specifically targeting the Ankole, Kigezi, Rwenzori, Tooro, and Bunyoro regions of Western and South-Western Uganda.
Introduction
Ugandans exhibit a strong reliance on media. Some preachers encourage listeners to touch their radios to receive prayers, and informational posters are ubiquitous. People frequently carry radios to listen to broadcasts, and media content consumes a significant portion of citizens' time.
Given the prevalent lack of truth in the media, Satan has not deemed it necessary to corrupt authorities to impose restrictions on media content, unlike in some neighbouring countries. This presents a substantial opportunity for us to evangelise Uganda through media before any such restrictions are enacted.
Historical Background
Western Uganda has had limited exposure to the Seventh-day Adventist message since missionaries arrived in 1928, half a century after Roman Catholics established their presence in this East African country. The Western Uganda regions were home to resistant tribes that only yielded to the Roman Catholics and the Anglican Church after humiliating defeats and consistent persecution, which claimed the lives of local kings and chiefs until the early 1900s.
Upon the SDA Church's arrival in 1928, restrictions were already in place, ostensibly to prevent religious conflicts among the population. Adventists were confined and limited to a few areas. Access to the people of Western Uganda remained restricted until about the 1950s, when the SDA Church found a more favourable situation to establish a medical mission school in South-Western Uganda.
By that time, the elite in Western Uganda had already embraced Anglicanism, while the majority of the population had been assimilated into Catholicism, a situation that persists today.
Current situation
Today, this expansive area covers over 45,000 km², comparable in size to Estonia or nearly twice the size of Rwanda, with a population exceeding 12 million people. Among them, 214,255 (1%) are registered Seventh-day Adventists across four church administrative fields: Rwenzori Field, Southwestern Uganda Field, West Buganda Field, and Western Uganda Field.
This region serves as Uganda's food and energy corridor, supplying cities, including the capital Kampala, with bananas, Irish potatoes, animal products, grains, timber, and charcoal, owing to its fertile plains, volcanic soils, and consistent rainfall.
The influence of the Adventist message in the area is minimal. People's lifestyles are characterised by the consumption of pork and other unclean animals. Those who avoid pork often rely on milk and other animal products from frequently medicated livestock. Few people own Bibles, as most are Roman Catholics.
Our missionary work
Faith Reporters aims to deliver the First Angel's Message to Western Uganda through radio stations, social media content creators, billboards, city and town address systems (especially in towns), posters, and flyers. We believe it is more effective to engage with the population on their preferred media platforms where they are already present, particularly given the limited time available. Uganda is following restrictive Rwanda in implementing its Agenda 2028 for the Fifty-in-Five UN initiative.

Conclusion
The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it (Psalms 68:11)
“It is necessary that wise plans should be laid to secure the privilege of inserting articles into the secular papers; for this will be a means of awakening souls to see the truth. God will raise up men who will be qualified to sow beside all waters. God has given great light upon important truths, and it must come to the world” https://m.egwwritings.org/en/book/30.697#703
“We must take every justifiable means of bringing the light before the people. Let the press be utilized, and let every advertising agency be employed that will call attention to the work. This should not be regarded as nonessential. On every street corner you may see placards and notices calling attention to various things that are going on, some of them of the most objectionable character; and shall those who have the light of life be satisfied with feeble efforts to call the attention of the masses to the truth?” https://m.egwwritings.org/en/book/30.697#708
God bless you
